AMD is ready to reveal more about its emerging motherboard, the top chipset AM4-based X370. The big tech company is expected to release more details about the Zen-compatible motherboards at the New Horizon event.
Hot Hardware reported that Zen has been planned since long. As AMD kept no shortage of new CPU releases recently, mostly these have been drawn from older architectures. The company has been waiting for a revolutionary release and not just evolutionary ones and exactly Zen just did that.
All three chipsets are configured around AMd's AM4 platform and will feature support for DDR4, PCle 3.0, USB 3.1 gen 2 (10Gbps), NVMe and SATA Express. Further, AM4 will help usher the most modern technologies and also enable AMD to speed up features with Intel's current platforms without requiring a set of third-party chipsets to fill in the blanks.
The AM4 based X370 will be available next year in the first quarter.
There will be three unique AM4 desktop platforms that are expected to launch basing on quality of chipsets. The entry level is A320, the mid-level is the B350 and the high-end chipset the AM4 AMD X370.
Tech times reported that The AM4 X370 will support CPU and RAM overclocking, it will also have features that are away from AMD motherboards like DDR4 memory, M.2 connectivity, PCI-E gen 3, SATA Express and USB 3.1 Gen2.
