"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is just a couple of days away and that being the case, the entire "Star Wars" fandom are now musing what will the next main installment of the mythos will show them including its moniker.

Talks are getting rife that the follow-up to "Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens" may already have a title. If the trademark applied by Lucasfilm to the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) are something to chew on, "Episode 8" may carry the phrase, "Forces of Destiny." Per EUIPO's website, information of such trademark was filed way back in August, though the status of it is still under scrutiny by the said agency.

Be it known, however, that Lucas' space opera lore has grown to become an immense franchise that it ventured to other fields such as numerous videogame titles, action figures, collectibles, and the likes. That being mentioned, the "Forces of Destiny" could be just a name to be endowed to any of the aforementioned categories.

In the interim, "Episode 8" is expected to feature the scavenger from Jakku, Rey, under the guardianship of Luke Skywalker as it was already evident when the former handed over the lightsaber to its rightful owner, Cinemablend quoted.

Moreover, it is also believed that the yet to be announced film might be incorporated with an origin element on it as Rey's roots might be tackled as well. Having that said, it is also plausible that Obi-Wan Kenobi, portrayed by both Ewan McGregor and the late Alec Guinness, could also make an appearance in the next film as it is theorized that the Kenobi bloodline runs through Rey's veins.

NME stated that "Star Wars Episode 8" will have an initial release date of December 15 of next year.
