West Bromwich Albion snapped a four-game unbeaten run as they fell to current league leaders Chelsea, 0-1, on the road at the Stamford Bridge last Sunday, as per Daily Mail Online.

The match was a tight one for both sides as the two teams' defenses held each other scoreless in the first half of action.

It continued to remain goalless until Spanish forward Diego Costa buried a goal in the 76th minute as he forced West Brom defender Gareth McAuley to a crucial defensive error, stealing the possession to pull off the stunning shot.

Head coach Tony Pulis' squad was not able to respond with any goals for the entire match to succumb to a shutout loss, their first since losing to Manchester City five rounds ago.

With the defeat, West Brom remained in the eighth spot of the league table, seven points below the final Europa qualifying berth for next season currently occupied by fifth-running team Tottenham Hotspur.

Meanwhile, Swansea City earned its second win in the last three rounds as they blanked fellow bottom three team Sunderland, 3-0, at their home ground of Liberty Stadium last Saturday, ESPN reported.

The first half of their match was also goalless as both sides were having difficulty finding their offensive rhythm.

Icelandic midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson finally broke the deadlock in the 51st minute with a penalty kick off a hand ball by Sunderland defender Jason Denayer.

Spanish striker Fernando Llorente then doubled the lead three minutes later off a rebound play. Llorente then scored his second goal of the game in the 80th minute to seal the win for the Swans.
