Milan snapped a five-game unbeaten run as the team fell to fellow powerhouse team AS Roma, 0-1, on the road at the Stadio Olimpico on Monday, as per BBC Sport.

It was a close battle between the two contending squads which resulted in a goalless first half of play. However, Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan netted the lone goal of the contest two minutes after the hour mark with a left-footer off a headed pass by Greek defender Kostas Manolas.

Head coach Vincenzo Montella's side was not able to score any goals during the match as I Rossoneri continues to miss the services of Colombian striker Carlos Bacca who is still out with a thigh injury.

Milan stayed in the third spot of the Italian top flight table despite the loss and are now three points below Roma and seven points behind defending champions and current league leaders Juventus.

Meanwhile, Atalanta is on a two-game losing slide after previously winning six consecutive games. The team is settled at sixth place in the overall standings at the moment, four points behind Milan.

La Dea is coming off a 1-3 loss to middling team Udinese in their own home field of Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia last Sunday, via SkySports.

Udinese netted the opening goal right at the stroke of half-time with a right-footed shot by Colombian forward Duvan Zapata.

Atalanta was able to equalize the score two minutes after the restart as Slovenian winger Jasmin Kurtic buried a header from the center of the box off an assist by teammate Alejandro Gomez.

However, Udinese netted the next two goals, courtesy of Frenchmen Seko Fofana and Cyril Thereau in the 72nd and 87th minutes for the final count.
