Xiaomi Mi 5c has been a topic of discussion for a couple of months and there have been much leaks about the phone. Its specs and price have already surfaced before official release which indicates thats its launch is close at hand.
The specs of the upcoming phone which were leaked earlier has been now confirmed as a Chinese retailer, Tmall has listed XIaomi Mi 5c on its site along with specifications

It will sport a 5.5-inch screen that will support full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device will be equipped with 2.2 GHz octa-core processor.
It will come with 3 GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. In the earlier leaks, it was said to come with 64 GB storage.
The phone will be loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow customized with MIUI 8. It is unlikely to get Nougat update later. The smartphone will feature 12-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
Xiaomi Mi 5c is said to be in the mid-range phone. Hence, it is expected to be priced at 1500 yuan ($218). It features a metal body but its top and the bottom are made of plastic for better signal connectivity, TheAndroidSoul reported.

Xiaomi had released Xiaomi Mi 4c after the release of Xiaomi Mi 4. In the same way, the Chinese firm is working on a cheaper edition of its Xiaomi Mi 5 flagship that was released in April this year. The Mi 5c was expected to release on Dec. 6 but it did not happen, GSM Arena reported. Hence, it is likely to get announced soon within this month..

The Mi 5 comes with 5.15-inch screen with the full HD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection for the screen. It is powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 comes in three variants of storage and RAM. The Pro edition offers 128GB of storage with 4GB of RAM. The Prime edition comes with 64GB of storage with 3GB of RAM and the Standard variant comes with 32GB of storage with 3GB of RAM.
It is loaded with Android v6.0 Marshmallow OS. The smartphone features 16-megapixel rear camera with 4-megapixel front facing camera. It also features a fingerprint sensor and a USB Type-C. The device is packed with non-removable Li-Po 3,000 mAh battery and is available in Black, White, Gold, and Ceramic color variants.
