Recently, a mysterious smartphone of Motorola codenamed as Cedric was spotted on FCC (Federal Communications Commission) list for approval. Its specs and variants have surfaced already.

Motorola's upcoming smartphone codenamed as Moto Cedric is said to be the Motorola's first device of 2017 to come with Android 7.0 Nougat OS out-of-the-box.

According to FCC listing, Moto Cedric has different model numbers such as XT1670, XT1671, XT1672, XT1675, XT1676 and XT1677. These are said to be the variants of Moto Cedric smartphone, Times News UK.reported.

Moto Cedric Specifications

Earlier, leakster Ronald Quandt had revealed specs of Moto Cedric on his Twitter account and the same details have been confirmed through its FCC listing. According to the leaked information, Moto Cedric will be spotting 5-inch screen. Its dimension are 144 X 72 mm. The thickness of the device is not known yet.

It is likely to receive power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset. The XT1670, XT1671, XT1672 variant will be having native storage of 32 GB and 2 GB of RAM.

The Motorola Cedric XT1675 and XT1676 variants are likely to come with 16 GB internal storage and 2 GB of RAM. The XT1677 variant is expected to have 3 GB RAM with in-built storage capacity of 16 GB.

The XT1675 variant will be a single SIM model that is rumored to release in Middle East, Africa and Europe countries, whereas Australia will receive dual SIM Moto Cedric with model number XT1676.

All the variants are expected to come pre-installed with Android's latest 7.0 Nougat OS. It may come equipped with a single rear facing camera with an LED flash similar to Moto Z models.

It will be carrying 2,800 mAh removable battery to keep the lights on. Sources add that the company will be manufacturing two versions of smartphones based on the country requirements.

Motorola Moto Cedric is not the only device that will run on Android's latest OS but also the high-end devices that are already in the US market like Moto Z Droid and Moto Z Force Droid are upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat in last month.

Lenovo has not yet revealed anything about its upcoming Motorola smartphones that will arrive in 2017 but all the forthcoming devices are expected to feature Android Nougat OS.
