Former 2NE1 Minzy updates fans in a recent V live interview and revealed some of the reasons why her solo debut is delayed.
Minzy solo debut is reportedly delayed in 2017 although an exact date has not been revealed. In a recent V live interview with SPICA's Bohyung, Minzy revealed that she attended school this year that is one of the factors of the delay. "I think I will become busier. I will meet you guys often. I will release an album, have a great time with you all, then go on a trip," Minzy said in the interview, according to All Kpop. Below are the three reasons why Minzy's solo debut is pushed back early next year.
Minzy also revealed in the interview that she is writing her own music delaying the process. She wants her new album to be a nice gift to her fans so she is pouring her heart in the lyrics by trying to be inspired all the time to write songs. This ambition of trying to create a perfect album by not relying to other songwriters for songs is a commendable trait of Minzy.
Previously, in an Instagram post, Minzy posted a photo of herself sporting a new look. She now dons a new hair color - blonde. The photo was captioned, "new". Many people think that the change in hair color is her way to break away from her former image. Under YG, Minzy always wears dark hair color.
Fans took it as a sign for the imminent solo debut of the former 2NE1 member. Since she left the group and YG Entertainment and signed under Music Works, Minzy told fans that she will come back as a solo artist. The preparation for her debut is underway. Her new agency previously announced that Minzy will hold a comeback before the year ends. However, the artist is taking careful steps.
