When "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" hits gaming markets in 2017, avid gamers may see a familiar feature in the upcoming Nintendo game. Gaming speculations indicated that Nintendo may have introduced a gameplay setting that was featured in a 2001 version of the game.

Recently, Nintendo unveiled two separate promotional materials for "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." In a social media update posted on the game's official Facebook page, the gaming company released an in-game screenshot that featured the protagonist Link.

With a sword in one hand and a shield on the other, Link appears to be standing on a hill while looking over a landscape filled with trees. Some of the foliage had yellow and red leaves that hinted of an autumn season.

Nintendo explained in its Facebook post that the said screenshot is part of the upcoming game's new Hyrulean setting. Avid fans can look forward to the release of more in-game screenshots given Nintendo's promotional activities for "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild."

Meanwhile, a holiday video posted on Nintendo's website featured a different glimpse of the game's vast world. Link's snowboarding skills were also put on display in the said clip where he utilized his shield to glide down a mountain.

Given the snow-covered location, the clip appears to suggest of the upcoming game's potential winter season. Apart from showcasing the scenic view from the mountain and Link's snowboarding skills, Nintendo also included a holiday message in the said clip to greet gamers, "Happy Holidays and a Legendary New Year."

With the release of the two promo materials that hinted of two Seasons, many gamers speculated that the upcoming game may feature winter, autumn, spring and summer seasons. Other speculations also indicated that Nintendo may have adapted the Seasons setting that it previously used in the 2001 game "The Legend Of Zelda: Oracle Of Seasons," according to iDigital Times.

At this time, it is unclear whether developers added different Seasons to enhance the gaming title's gameplay experience. Nintendo has yet to comment on the news.
