All eyes are out for the highly speculated Samsung Galaxy S8. It is now rumored that the upcoming flagship smartphone will be equipped with the latest Bluetooth 5.0, Iris scanner and an enhanced digital assistant.

According to the latest rumors, now that a new Bluetooth version is out, the South Korean smartphone manufacturer could incorporate the new wireless technology to its upcoming phone. Bluetooth 5.0 promises a big increase against its predecessor, twice the transfer rate, at 2 Mb per second, as well as an extended range that is four times longer. In effect, users can use their wireless headphones farther away from the transmitter base, reports Digital Trends.

Samsung is also said to incorporate an Iris scanner to the Galaxy S8 to make it even tighter in terms of security. Users are now getting into wireless payment systems, offered by the Samsung Pay and Android Pay, and it is only appropriate for the new flagship phone to increase its security feature.

The Iris scanner is one of the strong features of the recalled Galaxy Note 7 and earlier rumors suggested that that this will be handed down to the upcoming flagship device. Moreover, sources familiar with the matter reportedly shared that a similar dedicated camera that shoots near-infrared light to the users' eyes will be included but will process the identification of the photos' subjects much faster.

The tech community is also waiting to find out if Samsung will introduce a new digital assistant with its upcoming offering. This speculation came in after the company acquired Viv Labs, the makers of Siri. The new smartphone AI is rumored to be better than iPhone's Siri and the Pixel smartphone's exclusive Google Assistant, GottaBe Mobile reported.

Previously, Wall Street Journal mentioned that, according to Samsung's mobile communications vice president Lee Jae-yong, the next flagship phone will "feature slick design and an improved camera, as well as an enhanced artificial intelligence service."

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to be unveiled at the upcoming Mobile World Congress that normally happens in last week of February or the first week of Mach. Its release is speculated to happen a month after the announcement.
