Borussia Dortmund has been reeling at the moment with two consecutive drawn matches as they are also winless in three of their last four outings. The team is currently in the fifth spot of the German top flight table, only a point below the final Champions League qualifying berth for next season.

A 10-man Dortmund squad was able to escape with a 2-2 draw against third-running team Hoffenheim on the road at the Wirsol Rhein-Neckar-Arena last Friday, as per BBC Sport.

The hosts opened the scoring right in the third minute of the match with a left-footed shot by forward Mark Uth off an assist by defender Benjamin Hubner with a through ball.

Die Borussen was able to level the count just eight minutes later with a goal by Mario Götze from a pass by striker Ousmane Dembélé.

However, Hoffenheim grabbed the lead back in the 20th minute with a close-range header by forward Sandro Wagner with the assist again coming from Hubner following a corner kick.

Head coach Thomas Tuchel's side then had a bad break as Marco Reus was sent off in the 41st minute after getting booked with his second yellow card.

With a man down, the Borussians were able to equalize the game three minutes after the restart with a goal from striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to salvage the draw.

Meanwhile, Augsburg nipped Borussia Monchengladbach, 1-0, at the SGL Arena last Saturday, ESPN reported.

Austrian defender Martin Hinteregger scored the winning goal in the 75th minute for interim manager Manuel Baum's squad to snap a four-game winless slide.

Augsburg is now in the 12th place in the overall standings, five points above the bottom three relegation area.
