Spotify recently hit 60 million users with 15 million paying ones, while Apple can push its service to all hundreds of millions iPhone, iPad, and iMac users worldwide. To add more, around 800 credit card users that the company has on file, credits to App Store and iTunes, where can be easily transformed into paying subscribers.

Apple got Jimmy Lovine, the industry superconnector, and they have been snapping up record label talent.
