Spurs vs. Bulls Game Preview

The Spurs (24-6) made quick work of the slumping Portland Trail Blazers on Friday with a 110-90 win. Head coach Gregg Popovich rested Tony Parker and Pau Gasol in the game which makes them fresh for the Christmas showdown against the Bulls.

Kawhi Leonard scored 33 points in the win while LaMarcus Aldridge registered a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Patty Mills exploded for 23 points off the bench as the Spurs bounced back after losing to the Clippers on Thursday.

On the other hand, the Bulls (14-15) continue to falter as they lost to the Charlotte Hornets on Friday, 103-91. Jimmy Butler's 26 points, four rebounds and four assists were not enough as Chicago lost once again. They have only won three games out of their last ten.

The Bulls could be without center Robin Lopez on Christmas. He was ejected for a flagrant foul, penalty two in the dying seconds of the game against Charlotte, per CSN Chicago. Lopez elbowed both Marvin Williams and Cody Zeller in the face.

Taj Gibson was also thrown out after receiving two technical fouls. He will only be facing a fine since it was not a flagrant foul. Expect Cristiano Felicio and Nikola Mirotic to pick up the minutes if Lopez gets a one game suspension.
