Meanwhile, in the previous installment titled "In the Uncertain Hour Before the Morning," Lagertha shot Aslaug in the back. It was time, Lagertha took down Aslaug as the latter killed Lagertha's husband.

Alyssa Sutherland, who plays Aslaug talked to The Hollywood Reporter about her character's death and how she came to know about her exit from the show.

"One of the producers told me - he approached me on set one day and asked me to take a little walk. I made a joke, "Why, am I getting killed?" and he just kind of looked at me and didn't say anything. I went, "Oh, wow - I'm getting killed!" So we went for a walk and he told me I was going to be gone. We were in the middle of filming episode nine or 10 at the time. I had a little bit of notice; it was right before we went on hiatus in the midst of season four. It's hard to remember now because this was all over a year ago now," Sutherland said about how she was informed about her character's fate.
