Winter has arrived in several countries around the globe where the freezing cold and snow may hinder "Pokemon Go" players from exploring their neighborhoods to catch Pokemon creatures. However, the "Pokemon Go" Plus device might prove to be an invaluable tool when playing Niantic's mobile gaming app during the winter season.

One of the critical gameplay requirements of Niantic's "Pokemon Go" is for players to walk around their neighborhoods or other outdoor areas to find Pokemon creatures or hatch an in-game egg. With winter season affecting many countries, some gamers have expressed their disappointment on how the cold weather or the snow might stop them from playing the game.

Gaming tips posted on Forbes identified the "Pokemon Go" Plus gaming device as a helpful tool during winter. With only a touch of a button, gamers who are out walking on the streets or around their neighborhoods can opt to spin Pokestops without having to take out their mobile phones during the cold winter season.

Attempting to capture Pokemon creatures is also a little better with the said gaming device. However, gamers can only utilize a one-ball-at-a-time approach in catching a Pokemon in the wild using the said device.

Other winter gaming tips include visiting Pokestops and spending as much time as a player is allowed, to take advantage of the Pokemon spawns around the said area. Niantic's recent deal with Starbucks is also a big help for avid "Pokemon Go" fans.

Coupled with Niantic's ongoing holiday event, players now have a better chance of catching Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur, Squirtle, Wartortle, Blastoise, Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard around Pokestops, according to an announcement posted on the game's official website. Players can also find more eggs that contain Pichu, Togepi and other Pokemon babies.

The "Pokemon Go" holiday event will run until Jan. 3, 2017. Learn more about the recently added Pokemon babies in the clip below:
