"New Girl" Season 6 will introduce new career paths and storylines for Nick (Jake Johnson), Jess (Zooey Deschanel), Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Cece (Hannah Simone).
Since Schmidt and Cece will be moving out of the loft that they once shared with their best friends, both of them would have some growing up to do. What better way to grow up than by taking on new responsibilities?
While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Brett Baer confirmed that there will be some promotions in the upcoming episodes of the hit FOX sitcom. "Jess is going to become principal, and Schmidt is going to have some professional success at some point," she said. Nick will also be releasing his book, and Winston (Lamorne Morris) will be busy with Aly's return from Quantico.
Meanwhile, "New Girl" will return with episode 11 starting Jan. 3. In "Raisin's Back," Reagan (Megan Fox) will return to the loft, and Nick would be left with no other option but to play it cool. Reagan and Nick went off with a wrong foot when the latter tried to make advancements to the former. However, Reagan rejected Nick and paved the way for him to be with Jess.
Following "Raisin's Back," "The Cubicle" will be released. The episode will see Jess insisting to cover Robby's (Nelson Franklin) medical bills. However, she will be surprised to find out just how much money she has to spend to pay for everything. As a result, Jess will think of creative ways to make sure that everything will be covered. Elsewhere, Schmidt will embark on a journey to self-discovery when Cece and Winston start to challenge his love of electronic dance music (EDM).
Elsewhere, Cece will be getting her modeling agency off the ground with the help of Nick and Winston. However, she will immediately get discouraged when her first client inspires her to change her chosen career path. Additionally, Reagan will stop herself from reading Nick's novel, and this will not sit well with the latter.
"New Girl" Season 6, episode 11 will air on FOX on Jan. 3 at 9 p.m. EST.
