The Galaxy Note 7 had attained good popularity, but it met with sudden death after news about exploding batteries started surfacing from various parts of the world. The phablet market was started by Samsung Electronics and it has been growing consistently. Hence, the South Korean tech giant is expected to unleash a new Note phablet later this year, Business Korea reported.

An executive from the partner firm of Samsung has spilled the beans on the new features of Samsung Galaxy Note 8. He has revealed that the Galaxy S8 will continue to sport 2K resolution display, but the Galaxy Note 8 will be blessed with 4K resolution screen.

The 4K resolution will allow Galaxy Note 8 users to enjoy topnotch VR experience. The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to be compatible with the new Gear VR wearable that is said to launch later this year.

It suggests that the Galaxy Noe 8 will connect to the new Gear VR through USB-C port. The Galaxy S8 is also speculated to feature an enhanced S-Pen stylus and new AI assistants that will be first introduced on Galaxy S8.

Samsung is rumored to introduce Continuum-like feature of Windows 10 Mobile on Galaxy S8. The Samsung Desktop Experience feature is expected to deliver a full-fledged PC experience by connecting an external monitor and wireless keyboard and mice to the Galaxy S8. If this come true, the Galaxy Note 8 may also feature it.

Samsung Electronics is expected to reveal the real reason behind Galaxy Note 7 battery exploding problem by the end of this month, Phone Arena reported. Rumors have it that the problem surfaced due to the hardware design of the phablet. However, earlier investigation by the South Korean company had revealed the issue was caused because of flawed batteries.
