Dell is disrupting the laptop gaming market with its newly unveiled Dell Inspiron 7000. The new laptop comes with a budget friendly price tag of $799 and a powerful NVIDIA GTX 1050 GPU, not mentioning a solid core i5 processor.

At first glance, Dell Inspiron 7000 seems to be what a union of the Alienware machines and Dell's consumer laptops would look like. The notebook's plastic case does not have a lot of visual flourishes that precisely liken it to its premium gaming counterpart, although the red accents adorning its front and rear are typical to mainstream Inspiron laptops.

According to Engadget, the hardware part is what makes it so unique. Gamers can choose between i7-7700HQ or i5-7300HQ processors and NVIDIA's GTX 1050 or 1050 Ti graphics cards for an unforgettable gaming experience.

Fans can also opt for HD (1080p) of Ultra HD (4k) screens in 14-inch and 15-inch alternatives and up to 32GB of RAM. Notably, going high-end with the specs will see gamers spend more than $799, which is the specified price of the model with basic hardware components.

However, even with the basic components, the Dell Inspiron7000 is still a decent gaming machine. The new GPU makes it a perfect laptop for gamers who wish to see nice-looking graphics in their gameplay. It also means that the power of laptop gaming is being pushed beyond the existing boundaries on a budget.

Nevertheless, according to The Verge, since both the Dell Inspiron 7000 14-inch and 15-inch models are just spec bumps of the 2015 series, they will utilize an old chassis. Neither, therefore, will include USB Type-C like Lenovo's new Legion gaming laptops, which also carry the GTX 1050.

Fortunately for Dell, the price of the Dell Inspiron 7000 is $100 lower than Lenovo legion gaming laptops, making it the winner. For those willing to have more advanced machines, Dell has announced new Alienware laptops that sport high-end graphics for a starting price of $999.

Altogether, analysts predict a good year for Dell after it announced its new line of gaming laptops at CES 2017 including Alienware 13, 15, and 17 models, and the new Dell Inspiron 7000. All these machines will be available in the United States and will run on Windows 10.
