"Running Man" will mark the final chapter of its long-running stint on SBS with special weekly challenges for each cast member. Latest spoiler news indicated that Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook will be the first cast members to be complete their unique missions.
The popular SBS variety program "Running Man" is set to cap off its remaining broadcast weeks with episodes that will focus on each cast member. SBS made the revelation through its social networking services, as cited by Korea Herald, where the format of upcoming episodes will feature special individual challenges to be completed by the cast members.
Named the "Member's Week" race, the cast members will take turns finishing specific tasks designed for them by the SBS production team. Song was identified as the first cast member to participate in the said special challenge, to be followed by Kim.
Recently, a member of the SBS show's production team told Korean news outlet Sports Chosun that the upcoming Kim special "Member's Week" episode will feature a blind date between the singer and a non-celebrity female. With a theme that encourages a single man to find his future wife, the blind date is set to happen onboard a Han River ferry boat.
Moreover, it appears that the "Running Man" production team prepared a real blind date event for Kim. The young lady that the South Korean musician will meet is a successful career woman who is very beautiful, according to the show's representative.
Other cast members will also support Kim in his upcoming challenge by completing various missions. Each challenge win will provide Kim with better conditions that will help him during his blind date.
As for Song, the "This Week, My Wife is Having an Affair" star already completed filming activities for her "Member's Week" challenge on Jan. 2, Monday. However, the details of the actress' mission were not disclosed.
The special Song and Kim "Running Man" episodes will air on Jan. 8 and Jan. 15, respectively, on SBS. Watch a clip from the variety show's New Year special below:
