"Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 is returning this week with a total revamp after Abbie Mills' death (Nicole Beharie). Tom Mison, who plays Ichabod Crane, got candid on his role and moving on from the demise of his partner in the Fox's supernatural series.

Mison hinted a dark and chilling chapter when "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 returns. As per the sneak peek, Ichabod will face the supernaturals as he assumed his new role as the head of a secret Washington D. C. -based organization. Ichabod and Agent Diana Thomas (Janina Gavankar) will meet each other for the first time, and they would struggle to understand how they will work together with their differences.
"His only comfort zone in the modern world was Abbie, and now she's gone," Mison told TVLine about Ichabod's feelings about Abbie Mills. "He has to find himself again, and not only that, but find himself in a new city and with new people around him."
Recurring cast Jeremy Davies, who plays Malcolm Dreyfuss, will find his new collaboration with Ichabod a "deliciously preposterous" supernatural saga. Like Ichabod, it would be hard for Jenny Mills (Lyndie Greenwood) to move on without Abbie in "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4.
As per the show's villains, fans could expect to see the headless horseman returning in one of the episodes with a temporary title of "The Head of State." It could be remembered that Ichabod used the headless horseman to win over Pandora (Shannyn Sossamon) in the Season 3 finale.
As Gavankar debuts on her role in "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4, she made it clear that she is not replacing Abbie. In an interview with Entertainment Online, she said that she is not Abbie 2.0, and that despite Abbie's demise, she is still a natural part of the show.
The "NCIS" alum described Agent Diana's professional and personal relationship with Ichabod, which is a bit strange from the very beginning. She explained Ichabod and Agent Diana's certain connection to their personal lives, but also their differences in handling their missions.
When the publication asked if people could also see a romantic chemistry between her and Ichabod that viewers witnessed with Ichabod and Abbie, Gavankar explained that it would not be easy for Ichabod to move on very fast from Abbie. She reiterated that viewers should expect to see the professional relationship of Ichabod and Agent Diana aside from the sexual chemistry in "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4.
