Acer's new monster laptop is called the Predator 21 X. If you are wondering why it is called the way it is, it is because it will prey on any other gaming laptop with its curved screen and top of the line central processing unit and graphics processing unit. The downside is, it will also prey on the consumers' pockets as it costs $8,999.
The Predator 21 X is the only gaming laptop with a curved display that aims to give gamers a more riveting gaming experience. Aside from its 21-inch full HD display, the Predator 21 X boasts the finest tech in gaming with the Intel 7th-generation Kaby Lake Core i7 7820HK, which can be overclocked, a 64GB of 2.4GHz DDR4 memory and two GeForce GTX 1080 running in SLI with their own 16GB of of GDDR5X VRAM, PC World reported.
Though it costs as much as a car, Predator 21 X is a gaming laptop of its own with a full mechanical keyboard and a track pad that switches in to a numpad magnetically. Built in the laptop is a Tobii eye-tracking that will give the gamers the power to control selected games through their eyes.
However, it is not quite suited for the term laptop as it weighs 8.8 pounds and quickly heats with the a lot going on it its system. To compensate for that, the Predator 21 X has five internal fans and nine heat pipes. The gaming beast also has two power supplies since it needs more energy than other gaming laptops to function. It also has an 8-cell, 88Whr battery that is estimated to last for roughly 3 hours.
The Predator 21 X is expected to be released in February, according to The Verge, along with other iterations to Acer's Aspire line, namely the V 15 and V 17 Nitro notebooks that will cost $1,119 and $1,299, respectively.
