The trailer gives fans something to sink their teeth into while waiting for an official trailer for the new episodes. Posted by YouTube user Tstudios, the video offers a recap of the first six and a half seasons of the series and shows the transformations that major characters like Rick, Daryl and Carl have gone through throughout the 91 episodes, Comicbook reported.

The theme of Season 7B is "Rise Up," building hype for the return of Rick Grimes' rule as he and his crew rise up against the cruelty of Negan and his Saviors. It can be recalled that the aftermath of the Season 7 premiere played out in a completely unexpected way, with an enfeebled Rick submitting to each of the sheriff's commands.

In his recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, actor Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick in the series, talked about how the events will change in the second half of the season.

"It's probably the opposite of what you just witnessed. Certainly from Rick's point of view. You see a man in action again with some of the members of his closest family," said Lincoln. He revealed that Rick's can-do attitude in the upcoming episodes will affect the overall tone of the show as he gives the "'Alexandria strikes back' feels" that viewers were used to.

Lincoln also teased that viewers would see a lot more levity they had never seen before in Rick, as there would be some sense of freedom in him, as well as the motivation to rise up after having lost everything. The actor described the remaining episodes of the season as "magnificent," being a long victory lap for his character and his group.

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 returns on Feb. 12 on AMC.
