AMD will be releasing their Ryzen line of chips before Q1 ends. The company will also be rolling out the compatible AM4 socket motherboards that will cater to both casual and heavy users.

Even before AMD officially unveiled the Ryzen line, the AM4 chipsets already started surfacing. Two new AM4 chipsets namely the X300 and the X370 would probably dominate the market.

PC gamers would probably want to go with the X370 chipset as it fits well with the Ryzen specs and features for those who want to make the best out of their builds, Inquirer has learned. AMD claims that all of their Ryzen chips will be available for overclocking but not all motherboards will allow a user to reach its full potential.

X370 chipsets will allow users to overclock their rigs and also has dual graphics card support for both AMD and NVIDIA cards. It would obviously cost more than the X300 which is made for those who are on a budget.

The X300 AM4 Ryzen chipsets will also be targeted towards builds that have limited form factors. However, both chipsets will still support dual-channel DDR4 RAM, NVMe, USB 3.1, PCIe 3.0 and M.2 Sata.

AMD Product Manager Jim Prior told PC World in a private interview that all models of Ryzen chips and processors will be available when they release the new product line. AM4 motherboards and Ryzen PCs that were revealed by AMD will also be rolled out in one release date instead of the usual staggered release.

Besides the X300 and the X370 chipsets, the B350 may also receive some love with Ryzen users. It is considered as the mainstream AM4 chipset as it supports overclocking as well but no CrossFire or SLI capabilities. Most PC gamers do tend to just purchase a single expensive card.

AMD Ryzen price and release dates may be revealed soon by the company considering that they will not be late in delivering. Benchmarks and reviews can also be expected soon.
