BTS member Jimin recently made an appearance on "King of Masked Singer" as a guest panelist. However, the idol was left red -faced after he unknowingly dissed MBLAQ's Thunder on the singing competition program.

During the Jan. 8, Sunday, episode the BTS member was asked whether one of the disguised contestants on the show could be his close friend Taemin. But what Jimin said next as a compliment to his BFF, backfired after he ended up insulting Thunder instead.

In one of the show's segments, two contestants disguised as the King of Toy Machines and Robot Fanatic went head-to-head with a performance of Deux's "Look Back At Me," during which they also showed of some of their dance moves. When host Kim Sung Joo asked the panelists for their opinion on the contestants' singing and asked them to guess the contestants' identity, Jimin replied by saying that they appeared to be teenagers who may have made their debut after him.

Both contestants later participated in a talent competition, in which Robot Fanatic busted out his dance moves. He showed off his talent by kicking his legs in the air repeatedly while breakdancing, but had everyone in splits after he ended up falling back during his performance and pretended to look dejected on the floor.

After the competition, panelist Lee Yoon Suk made an attempt at guessing the identity of Robot Fanatic. "His voice is very sweet and beautiful, and he's very good at dancing," Lee was quoted as saying. "His voice is very sweet and beautiful, and he's very good at dancing," he said. "I think he's Korea's Michael Jackson, SHINee's Taemin!"

When Jimin's turn arrived, he flat out denied the possibility of SHINee's Taemin being the individual behind the Robot Fanatic's mask because of the contestant's poor dancing skills. "I don't think it is," he said. "I think Taemin dances a lot better."

Jimin was taken by shock when it was finally revealed that the person disguised as Robot Fanatic was none other than ex-MBLAQ member Thunder, who debuted a few years before the BTS member. Thunder released his first solo album, "THUNDER," and title track, "Sign," in December 2016, Soompi reported.

BTS is not the first BTS member to make an appearance on "King of Masked Singer." In August 2016, Jungkook featured on the program as a contestant under the alias of "Fenced Man." Jimin recently grabbed headlines after he collapsed on stage after his performance at the KBS Gayo Daechukje, Koreaboo reported.
