Several reports have indicated that "Infinite Challenge" might go on a short break beginning the end of January. With the MBC show's production crew unable to confirm the said news, speculations are rife that the variety program's future might mirror that of "Running Man," which is slated to end in February.

A few South Korean news outlets claimed that the MBC show will be going on a seven-week hiatus starting Jan. 28, Saturday. Reports indicated that a new travel variety program will release its pilot episodes on the show's original timeslot for three weeks, to be followed by a series of "Infinite Challenge" special episodes to be aired for four weeks.

The hiatus will reportedly provide an opportunity for the show's cast and crew members to rest given the show's tight filming schedules. Korean news outlet My Daily attempted to contact the MBC show's producing director Kim Tae Ho, but the said showrunner is currently unavailable since he is out of the country.

Production crew members interviewed by the said news outlet were also unable to provide a clear answer about the show's alleged seven-week break. They stated that they cannot confirm the said news at the moment and that it was difficult to reveal their opinion about the alleged hiatus.

Meanwhile, the show's producing director previously took to social media to express his wish to take a break, as cited by All Kpop. Kim mentioned how he would have wanted for the MBC show's cast and crew members to be given time to relax, as well as a two-month period to prepare for upcoming episodes.

At this time, MBC has neither confirmed nor denied the show's alleged seven-week hiatus. "Infinite Challenge" cast members have also yet to comment on the said news.
