The Undertaker is the latest superstar to enter the 2017 Royal Rumble Match inside the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. According to the latest rumors, The Undertaker is the early favorite to win the Royal Rumble Match over superstars like Brock Lesnar, Bill Goldberg and Braun Strowman.
As recapped by WWE.com, "The Deadman" appeared on Monday Night Raw as advertised. He announced his entry to the Royal Rumble match and warned the other 29 participants. He vowed to win the match and main event WrestleMania 33.
The Undertaker will be entering his 11th Rumble and he could pass Stone Cold Steve Austin on the total eliminations. Also, he is the favorite to win the Rumble itself which will be the second Rumble win of his illustrious career.
According to Cageside Seats, The Undertaker is the odds-on favorite to win the Royal Rumble Match. The WWE is reportedly planning to be something unpredictable and this year's Rumble Match is one of the most difficult to predict.
There are a lot of realistic superstars who can win besides The Undertaker like Lesnar, Goldberg, and Strowman. However, "The Phenom" is the favorite because of the fact that he could challenge either the WWE or the Universal Champion at WrestleMania 33.
If The Undertaker wins the Royal Rumble match, he could go after a championship. John Cena and Roman Reigns are the expected champions heading into WrestleMania 33 and The Undertaker against either of them is a dream match.
The WWE has been teasing a lot of dream matches as of late like Goldberg vs. Reigns. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer (subscription required) reported that the company is interested in making The Undertaker vs. Reigns at WrestleMania 33.
However, it might not be the best idea since Reigns is still being negatively received by the fans. WrestleMania 33 could also be the final match of The Undertaker which means it will very special.
Nevertheless, these are just purely speculative at the moment as the WWE tends to change their plans on a regular basis. The latest tease the WWE did this week was The Undertaker vs. Strowman.
