Apple may not release the iPhone 8 this year as the iPhone 7s and the iPhone 7s Plus seem to be the phones to watch out for. The new device could also go bezel-less.

The all-glass iPhone 8 rumors have been around since 2016 and fans are still anticipating for it to be true. There is also talks of Apple using OLED panels instead of the traditional LCD for their next iPhones. It is not known whether the iPhone 7s or iPhone 8 will be the first one to sport the new screens.

Apple's iPhone 8 is expected to use a forging process for the stainless-steel frame, Digi Times has learned. That could mean that most of the chassis would be glass including the most part of the device's screen/

Foxconn and Jabil will be the suppliers for the frame. The two have also been the suppliers for the stainless-steel frame used by Apple for the iPhone 4 several years back.

The forging process will also help apple to reduce cost by up to 50 percent. In turn, this may benefit customers through a lower iPhone 8 price or better material at the same cost.

Sources told Slash Gear that the iPhone 7s naming convention has already been considered by Apple. It may mean that they will be releasing the said smartphones first before the iPhone 8 which can be expected to be launched this year at the earliest.

Another rumor is that Apple may reveal a so-called iPhone Pro which could be the third device that the Cupertino-based tech giant will be unveiling this year. There are no large details yet regarding the device but it is possible considering that there is already an iPad Pro.

Apple iPhone 8 specs, price and release dates are expected to be unveiled later this year. However, the iPhone 7s and the iPhone 7s Plus are expected to be launched first.
