Some leaked videos of Nokia 8 alleged flagship smartphone have surfaced. It is expected to get announced at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2017.
A flagship Nokia that is dubbed as Nokia 8 by the rumor mill was showcased at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2017 in the previous week. It is said that the flagship kept for viewing at Qualcomm's booth, but it prevented people from snapping photos of the smartphone, GSM Arena reported.
The Nokia 8 is rumored to be codenamed as Nokia Supreme. It is expected to be available in two Snapdragon chipset variants. At Qualcomm's booth, the Nokia 8 running on Snapdragon 835 as well as on Snapdragon 821 chipsets were put on display one besides each other
The Nokia 8 with Snapdragon 835 seems to have a better camera because it is rumored to feature a 24-megapixel camera that is coupled with features like OIS and EIS 3.0. Speculations have it that it is capable of recording the smoothest videos on a smartphone till date.
It is expected to feature 12-megapixel front-facing camera. The Snapdragon 821 powered Nokia 8 seems to have a lesser configuration camera. This can be seen in a camera comparison video of both devices video released by Total Tech.
The Nokia 8 with SD 835 has 6 GB of RAM whereas the one with SD 821 has 4 GB of RAM. Both models are expected to come in storage choices of 64 GB and 128 GB along with support for up to 256 GB of microSD card on external storage slot.
Both smartphones are expected to be flanked with dual speakers. Like the Nougat comes preinstalled on Nokia 6, the upcoming flagship is also rumored to come loaded with the new Android software. As far as the designed is concerned, both the devices seem to be equipped metal unibody design with no physical button at the front button.
There is another video released by Total Tech that shows the same Nokia 8 smartphone in plastic build. It is speculated that this device is a prototype that was tested before it was sent to CES 2017, Gizmo China reported. Nokia has confirmed that it will be holding an unveil event on Feb. 26. It is heavily pegged to unleash the two new Nokia 8 variants at the upcoming launch.
