Kurt Angle is entering the WWE Hall of Fame as the headliner of the Class of 2017. However, he has not officially retired from wrestling which means he could have another match. The latest rumors imply that he might have a retirement match at WrestleMania 33.

The WWE made the Hall of Fame announcement on ESPN and it definitely shocked a lot of people, including Angle. He told ESPN in an interview that he did not expect the honor but he was certainly looking forward to it.

"I was shocked. I've been out of WWE for a long time and out of touch with them, so I didn't really expect this. It's a huge honor," Angle said.

The Olympic Gold Medalist spent seven years in the WWE wherein he won multiple titles while producing some of the greatest matches ever. He has not retired from wrestling which opens the possibility of having one final match in the WWE.

In a recent interview with Lillian Garcia on her Making Their Way To The Ring podcast, Angle was asked if he is interested in having a retirement match. He quickly answered that he wants one final match against A.J. Styles.

"The one that I would really love to have a final match with right now is the kid that's the hottest right now in WWE...that's A.J. Styles. I wrestled A.J. in TNA, and I can tell you that he is every bit as good as Shawn Michaels," Angle said.

According to Cageside Seats, the WWE is planning to use Angle as an on-screen talent moving forward. As far as matches are concerned, there is no confirmation if the company wants the 48-year-old superstar to wrestle again.

It should be noted that the WWE was very reluctant in bringing back Angle because of his neck injuries and substance abuse history. Nevertheless, they have decided to bring him back in some capacity which makes it appealing to a lot of fans.

Angle wrestling superstars like Styles, John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Rusev and Roman Reigns are all possible. He can also just mentor American Alpha on SmackDown Live if the WWE feels he does not to wrestle anymore.

Nevertheless, these are just rumors at the moment and nothing has been confirmed. Check out the video below to watch Angle's WWE Hall of Fame video package. For more WWE news, rumors and updates, follow me on Twitter @johnnyrundown.
