"Goblin" has shown its popularity with strong TV ratings and a hit soundtrack where many of the songs became chart toppers. Latest news teased of the upcoming release of the tvN fantasy drama's soundtrack album that contains special items including a narration from lead actor Gong Yoo.

The "Goblin" OST is expected to delight avid viewers and South Korean music fans with its compilation of the tvN drama's 16 songs. Previously released tracks such as EXO's Chanyeol and Punch's collaboration single "Stay With Me," Ailee's hit "I Will Go to You Like the First Snow," Crush's "Beautiful" and more will be included in the upcoming OST album.

Apart from the said songs, the yet-to-be-released opening track from the tvN drama is also included in the two-disc "Goblin" OST, according to South Korean news outlet Wow TV. Used as the background song during Shin (Gong) and the Grim Reaper's (Lee Dong Wook) iconic appearance when they rescued Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun) from the loan sharks, many fans have been anticipating the said track's release.

Moreover, one of the CDs in the said OST album will contain purely instrumental tracks from the tvN drama. Apart from the fantasy series' various songs, Gong's narration piece is also included in the said album, as well as a lyric book and a photo book that contains never-before-seen images and other photo stills from the drama.

Avid collectors will also enjoy the OST album's cover given its unique design. The album cover showcases several images when viewed from specific angles.

Meanwhile, online pre-orders for the "Goblin" OST is already open for South Korean buyers. Local drama fans and music lovers can expect to see the said album in various music stores beginning Jan. 25, Wednesday.

In other news, Gong's fantasy drama remained at the top of the Content Power Index (CPI) for the period of Jan. 2 until Jan. 8. "Goblin" nabbed the first place with a score of 294.4 points on the said TV popularity chart, according to CJ E&M and Nielsen Korea, as cited by Yonhap News.

"Legend of the Blue Sea" and "Hwarang" landed on the second and third spots, respectively. The SBS mermaid drama scored 236.9 points while the KBS historical series posted CPI scores of 236 points.
