"Goblin" episode 14 will feature the shocking return of Gong Yoo's character, Kim Shin, but as his warrior counterpart, General Kim Shin.
A series of photos from the set of the hit tvN network were recently leaked online. One of the snaps showed Gong Yoo filming a scene as General Kim Shin while outside Sunny's chicken shop.
Meanwhile, a teaser for episode 14 matched the leaked photos because it showed Yoo In-Na's Sunny staring back at something or someone from a distance. Sunny has a surprised look on her face which is understandable if she is looking at General Kim Shin.
IBTimes is speculating on the possibility of General Kim Shin revisiting his loved ones for the very last time because he goes to the afterlife. However, the upcoming episode will also feature a 10-year time jump so Eun Tak will already be 29 years old and bound to meet another Grim Reaper.
Also in the teaser, Kim Go Eun's Eun Tak asked herself if there is anything that she has forgotten over the course of 10 years. After all, her memory was wiped away clean by the Grim Reaper when she was just 19 years old. At that time, Kim Shin passed away because of her doing, and he did not want her to remember this.
Another leaked photo that was posted by one fan online showed Eun Tak crying with her hands covering her face. She is obviously heartbroken over something. This scene could be taken from the time she is trying to remember what happened in the past.
In other news, even though the purpose of Kim Shin's possible return remains unknown, in episode 5, the Goblin saw Eun Tak's future in one of his visions. The latter is sitting at a restaurant in Quebec, Canada waiting for her partner. At that very moment, the Goblin knew that he would have to sacrifice himself so Eun Tak could live.
In the following episode, the Grim Reaper told Kim Shin that another Grim Reaper will introduce himself to Eun Tak when she is 29 years old. Kim Shin could resurface in an attempt to once again save her life.
"Goblin" episode 14 will air on Friday, Jan. 20 on tvN.
