Avid fans of the CW series "Supernatural" can expect to see exciting episodes that will test Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean's (Jensen Ackles) skills, as well as their bond with beloved friends and family. Moreover, the Winchesters lives may be at risk as they face new and old threats in upcoming episodes.
Recently, the CW released a teaser clip that provided fans with a glimpse at the events that will happen in the back half of "Supernatural" Season 12. The video, as obtained by TVLine, started with a shot of the Winchesters' iconic car "Baby" before showing various scenes which included a man, who appears to be possessed by a powerful supernatural being, killing an individual and grasping Dean by the neck.
Sam also has to deal with his own problems where a scene featured the said character being tortured by what seems to be a high-pitched sound. Covering his ears with his hands, Sam can only scream as blood begins to flow from the side of his face.
Meanwhile, viewers can also expect to see Mary (Samantha Smith) playing a more active role in upcoming "Supernatural" Season 12 episodes. Some of the scenes in the said clip displayed the Winchester brothers' mother wielding a gun, as well as a bloodied sword that appears to have been used to decapitate a man.
Given the many dangers that Sam, Dean and Mary are set to face in the back half of the CW series' current season, Castiel (Misha Collins) will do everything that he can to keep the trio safe and alive. Despite his efforts, it seems that one of the three Winchesters may be facing death in an upcoming episode.
In a voice-over, Castiel stated "This sad little world, it needs you. It needs every last Winchester it can get and I will not let you die. I won't let anyone of you die."
In other news, the upcoming midseason premiere of "Supernatural" Season 12 will feature a rescue mission. Castiel and Mary will try to find a way to get Sam and Dean out from a government facility, according to episode spoilers on Spoilers Guide.
