An upcoming "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 episode may reveal the cast members' singing abilities. Latest spoiler news teased of a spring episode that will unleash the musical talents of lead stars Jennifer Morrison, Ginny Goodwin, Josh Dallas and other celebrities.

The idea of featuring a musical episode in "Once Upon a Time" has been circulating for many years given the ABC series' Disney and fairy-tale themed storyline. Avid viewers of the show have seen several characters from Disney animation musical films such as Elsa from "Frozen" and more.

Known for incorporating songs into some of its animation features, it appears that the "Once Upon a Time" team is set take a leaf out of Disney's book to introduce a music-themed episode. Showrunners are planning to release an episode that will have Emma (Morrison), Snow (Goodwin), Charming (Dallas) and other characters breaking out in song, according to TVLine.

With a target spring release, several cast members are already preparing for the said episode and have started practicing their singing skills, according to the same report. At this time, it is still unclear if most of the ABC show's lead cast will be given singing parts.

Meanwhile, details of the planned musical episode were not disclosed. Moreover, neither ABC nor the series' showrunners have commented on the said news.

In other news, avid viewers can expect to see beloved characters visiting several worlds in the back half of "Once Upon a Time" Season 6. Upcoming episodes will feature various location settings such as Storybrooke, Agrabah, the wish realm, including and the dark realm.

In an earlier interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Adam Horowitz shared that they tried to "change things up a little bit" where viewers will see several story elements linked to a common theme. He added, "There's a unifying theme at play in the second half, but it's not about location, it's about this story and the conflict between characters."
