Just like the "The Goonies," "Beetlejuice 2" is one of those epic movies in the 80's that are expected to make a comeback to the big screen anytime soon. According to a report by People, Keaton recently spoke with regard to the rumored "Beetlejuice" sequel. The actor admitted that making a remake of the American comedy and fantasy film is not even close to ever happening; however, he suggested that the production team must do it right if ever it pushes through with the idea.

"I don't know," Keaton said about the rumored "Beetlejuice 2." "And I'm not being coy." "I just think it's like a little piece of art that you better get right if you ever do it again; otherwise, you just kind of don't touch it," the actor added.

Although the lack of the official "Beetlejuice 2" update might be disappointing to many fans, Keaton did not entirely shut the door for a possible remake. Nonetheless, the actor who once played Batman on the big screen also pointed out that the idea of "Beetlejuice 2" may have already come and gone.

Meanwhile, it was previously confirmed by "Beetlejuice" director Tim Burton in a report by MovieWeb that he is interested in making a sequel to the popular movie. Since the report, Burton has not made a single comment regarding the possible production of "Beetlejuice 2." However, fans are pretty hopeful that the people behind the movie will make an official announcement anytime soon.

Fans are certainly hoping that if "Beetlejuice 2" were to be created, Burton should be fully behind the project, alongside its original cast members Keaton and Winona Ryder. Check out the video below to know more about the rumored sequel.
