NBC's fantasy police drama series "Grimm" is approaching its final season, which will premiere on Jan. 6. Sasha Roiz, who plays Sean Renard in the show, has teased about what will happen to his character once the show returns.

Sean Renard had all the great things before him when he was declared as the new mayor towards the end of Season 5. However, all good things must come to an end and that is what will happen to the character, Roiz revealed to TVLine. In addition, he shared that Renard's life will turn around by the third episode of "Grimm" season 6.

According to spoilers from the publication, Mayor Renard will face opposition groups in the first three episodes and he will eventually have a hard time getting the support he needs. His daughter, Diana, then comes into the picture and will become an even more important person in his life.

Roiz also told the news outlet that as "Grimm" Season 6 progresses, his character will feel the need to be there for Diana since she has become a potential target. But knowing Renard, there could be a hidden agenda somewhere. "We'll say he's still Renard, so he sees the potential of 'Maybe I lost all this, but I've got this little lady who is quite a powder keg, so possibly I can use that to my advantage,'" the actor revealed.

Meanwhile, "Grimm" season 6 will open up with Nick (David Giuntoli) on the run from the newly-elected Mayor, who had ordered the police to locate him, according to the synopsis. Hank (Russell Hornsby) and Wu (Reggie Lee) will tip off the gang while watching out for the Mayor's next move. Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and wife Rosalee (Bree Turner) consider staying in Portland knowing that their family will soon expand. More about the mysterious stick will be revealed in the premiere.

"Grimm" season 6 premieres on Jan. 6, 8 p.m. ET on NBC. Check out the trailer for the final chapter of the series in the video below.
