"Blue Reflection: Sword of the Girl Who Dances in Illusions" gets new information detailing the Overdrive system. New features like the weather changes, and relaxation time were also revealed.
Gust revealed on the official website of the video game the Overdrive system that the characters use when they fight their enemies. In the game, MP and Ether are important elements of battle. MP is used to use any skill, while the Ether element is necessary for the Guard feature, MP-restoring Recovery magic, and Pure Breed decisive blows called Reflects.
One of the other major uses of the Ether is to activate the Overdrive system. It is a technique that lets players use consecutively their skills in one turn. They will need to gain enough Ether through the Ether Charge command, and it also restores some MP.
After accumulating a certain amount of Ether, players can now use their turn to use the Overdrive command. When they do that, they can use how many skills they want to use on that turn. The more skills they use, the more Ether they will have to expend.
Skills require MP, which is why it is a good idea to recover it through the Ether Charge command. They can also use Recoveries with quick-time button presses before the enemies and reflectors move.
Overdrive has one big advantage, which is the gradual increase of the skills' power. This will depend on the count of its consecutive uses though. Players can constantly activate Overdrive with less Ether to use fewer skills, or they can save up their Ether and activate it for max skill uses.
Gust explained in another post on the official website of "Blue Reflection" its new features like the Weather Changes and Relaxation. The weather will change in the game as the players progress through the main story. Clearing missions will make the main story progress, but they will mainly accept the missions during their free time after school.
On rainy days, Hinako's uniform will change if she is outside. The uniform will get soaked and it will make it somewhat see-through.
Players will get to enjoy a scene when Hinako goes home after school activities in "Blue Reflection." A relaxing scene may unfold at the house, which will vary like getting in the bath and relaxing in her room. Some of them also have choices they can make.
