With "Teen Wolf" nearing the halfway mark of its Season 6 run, viewers can expect to see several memorable moments in the MTV series' upcoming winter finale. Latest spoiler news teased of Lydia (Holland Roden) and Stiles' (Dylan O'Brien) impending reunion, as well as the start of the two characters' potential new romantic relationship with each other.
Avid fans of the MTV werewolf series will soon see Stiles' return to Beacon Hills following Scott (Tyler Posey), Malia (Shelley Hennig) and Lydia successful attempt in opening a rift into the Ghost Riders' Wild Hunt lair. Lydia and Stiles reunion in the upcoming "Teen Wolf" Season 6 episode 10 will also be an emotional moment for the two characters with the banshee opening up about her feelings for Scott's best friend.
Given Stiles' earlier love confession to Lydia, many fans have been hoping to see a story progression that could lead to a romantic relationship between the two friends. Dubbed the "Stidia" couple, it appears that upcoming episodes will tackle the said characters' non-platonic feelings for each other.
In an interview with TVLine, "Teen Wolf" showrunner Jeff Davis commented that they wanted to explore a plotline that will force Lydia to acknowledge her romantic feelings for Stiles. The executive producer even highlighted how great friendships can sometimes lead to a lasting relationship between two friends.
However, Davis also warned that Lydia and Stiles' new romance might not have a happy ending. He stated, "Maybe they're stumbling towards romantic love or maybe it blows up in their face after the first month and they say, 'Screw it. Let's just be friends.'"
Meanwhile, the upcoming "Teen Wolf" Season 6 winter finale titled "Riders on the Storm" will feature an exciting battle to stop Mr. Douglas' (Pete Ploszek) plans to rule the world using the Ghost Riders. Scott (Tyler Posey) and his friends will band together to defend Beacon Hills and defeat the said villainous group, according to episode spoilers posted on Spoilers Guide.
