2NE1 fans are in for a treat. The popular Cartoon Network show, "Steven Universe," was filled with nostalgia and good vibes as the show's layout artist paid tribute to the phenomenal contribution of the iconic South Korean girl group.

Jane Bak, an artist who works for Cartoon Network, shared an illustration of 2NE1 for "Steven Universe" on her Twitter account on Jan. 31, Tuesday. In the post, she revealed that it was supposed to be the original promo for the show's Season 4 episode 11.

The said episode, titled "Steven's Dream," features Steven and his father traveling to South Korea and experiencing both tradition and contemporary Korean culture. Unfortunately, 2NE1 disbanded and she felt it unusual to include them in the said episode.

The layout artist then revealed she was a huge fan of 2NE1, crying along with fellow fans about their disbandment. She goes ahead to clarify that YG Entertainment's flagship girl group's appearance in the said promo is probably non-canon, reiterating that it was just a self-indulgent drawing.

Meanwhile, 2NE1's farewell track "Good Bye" topped the Billboard's World Digital Songs chart. In the week ending Jan. 26, the said track already sold 5,000 downloads in the United States, according to Nielsen Music, as cited by Billboard.

Further, the music video for "Good Bye" already surpassed the 6 million mark. As of Feb. 02, Thursday, the said music clip reached more than 10 million views and around 500,000 YouTube likes.

Released on Jan. 21, "Good Bye" served as the girl group's farewell message to their fans and former member Minzy. Speaking before a group of local media, as cited by Soompi, the group's former leader CL admitted that the song was not that easy for her to write.

"I adjusted [the lyrics] so that it was a message to Minzy as well as a message to the fans at the same time," CL said. "[The first time] I heard this song, lyrics [about Minzy] just came to my mind and I cried. The lyrics pretty much came from my tears."
