"Death Stranding" is without a doubt one of the much-awaited titles coming from the award-winning game designer, Hideo Kojima. The Tokyo native was RTX Sydney talking about the game and even made an assurance that it will be deemed playable to the current Sony platforms.

Kojima confirmed such that "Death Stranding" will be released for PlayStation 4 as quite a number of game pundits theorized that it will be a PS5 title. When asked if the title will utilize VR know how, the game designer responded on a negative note saying that it will not bear such technology at the moment, according to DualShockers.

Updates regarding the game were also provided by Kojima as he hinted that the game's free to roam environment will allow players extensive freedom while at play. Furthermore, his production outfit - Kojima Productions, is as of late is setting up "Stranding's" game logic and running some tests on its systems as 2017 will zero in on filling its game world, Gamespot reported.

The designer also spilled some details on why he preferred to work with Sony over other companies in the industry. Kojima highlighted that one of his objectives in developing "Stranding" is to make the fans happy. Hence, he chose a company in which respect is valued and he is already familiar with.

In addition, Sony gives all the creative independence that he could get in making the game while Sony will do the majority of the game's promotion. However, it is said that Kojima will still be part of "Stranding's" promotional strategies.

In the interim, Kojima is in New Zealand after attending the RTX Sydney event. The game designer even paid a visit to Weta Workshop which is a famed special effects firm based in Miramar, New Zealand. Kojima was lucky enough to cross paths with "Lord of the Rings" director Peter Jackson while checking out the props company.

It is not yet clear though what is Kojima's intent with the said visit. Moreover, it is also uncertain if the visit is for business purposes or purely personal. Kojima also tweeted about his upcoming video to be uploaded on his HideoTube Channel by Feb. 10.
