Sony is expected to launch the rumored Xperia XA2 during the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2017 event in Barcelona. The new leaked photos of the said smartphone may confirm the previous speculations of its design.

Leaked photos of the Sony Xperia XA2 have come from Chinese website KKJ as cited by Android Headlines. The image shows the smartphone being used inside a room with the screen set to its Settings.

As expected, the version of the Xperia XA2 shows 7.0 Nougat. The new Android version has several improvements over Marshmallow and it has been the default OS for the recent and upcoming smartphones.

The image also shows on-screen buttons which means that there will be no soft-touch physical ones will be omitted. LG's V20 also has the same layout and it makes the screen larger and open for more pixels.

Sony Xperia XA2 is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Helio P20 64-bit octa-core processor. It may not be as powerful as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 but it should be more than enough to handle the average user's tasks everyday with its 4GB RAM as well.

The Sony Xperia XA2 also has a 23MP camera for the rear while the front snapper boasts 16MP, Digit reported. It is one of the smartphones with the highest megapixel counts in both ends. Unfortunately, fans will ahve to wait until MWC to see whether the camera specs are true or not.

Just like other new flagship smartphones, the Xperia XA2 will also reportedly sport a USB Type C port. It will also keep the beloved 3.5mm stereo headphone jack that the iPhone 7 omitted from its phyiscal design.

With no official announcement yet from Sony, the fate of the Xperia XA2 is still undetermined. The expected price of the new Android 7.0 Nougat smartphone is set to be at least $300.
