The new update for the hit FPS game "Battlefield 1" has been released. The Winter update is available for the Xbox One, PS4, and the PC.
According to the official "Battlefield" website, the Winter Update features a return of the ribbons from earlier "Battlefiled" games. Also, the Class Rank caps were expanded from 10 to 50, and players can now earn new rewards for reaching the max class rank.
In addition to reaching the maximum class rank, players will receive an extra Battlepack as well as unlock Dog Tags as they progress towards it, with the former given out every 10 new class ranks. Hitting rank 50 grants an extra class flair in the kill card used to taunt fallen enemies.
Another thing changed in the new major update is the "Battlefield 1" game's rent-a-server program, with server admins now able to kick players from their servers with the use of their in-game UI. The admins are now given priority when it comes to accessing their own server, removing the hassle experienced by owners beforehand.
Gameplay elements are also fixed, such as tweaks in suppression effects and low health visuals, with the former's threshold increased in order to prevent it from occurring too early. Also, bugs were fixed, including one where players get killed by cavalry with the use of the saber through a distance.
Meanwhile, according to Game Spot, DICE also announced earlier this month that those who buy the 50-dollar "Battlefield 1" premium pass will get a free upgrade to the Deluxe edition of the shooter game. This gives players a lot of extra content, which includes the Red Baron pack, Lawrence of Arabia pack, three vehicle skins and five Battlepacks.
"Battlefield 1" is now available for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with its first paid DLC pack "They Shall Not Pass" to be released in March 2017. Here is the latest video for the game:
