IU and Girl Generation's Taeyeon were "fighting" on Valentine's Day over a musician on social media. The "fight" was actually an expression of their affection towards Hong So Jin aka Hong Ttochi, a pianist and producer who worked with Hyorin, Leesang, 2 AM, Sung Si Kyung, Baek Ji Young and Junsu of JYJ.

IU wrote on Hong's Instagram post, wishing that the musician would only perform at her concerts. Taeyeon was not agreeable with IU's post and claimed that Hong belongs to her.

IU and Taeyeon are the best of friends. Both are two of the most popular idols in the country.

In a poll in December 2016, Taeyeon topped the list as Korea's most popular among teens or those around their 20s, according to AllKPop. She got 11.8 percent votes, displacing Korea's "little sister" from the top position.

IU was no. 1 in a similar poll in 2015. She tailed Taeyeon in 2016 at No. 2 with 6.6 percent.

The online community of K-Pop followers know about the closeness of the two idols and talk about "Taeyeon's strong affection for IU." The 27-year-old Girls Generation member and the 23-year-old singer and actress have photos that are proofs of their close friendship.

Meanwhile, Taeyeon released on Feb. 17, Friday, the first song of her upcoming album, Billboard reported. Entitled "I Got Love," the new song showcases a more sentimental side of the artist. Taeyeon is known for her romantic ballads and pop hits as a soloist.

"I Got Love" is a rhythmic and minimalist pop track which focuses on the singer's heartfelt lyrics and performance. It is an alternative from her previous solo releases that featured her softer image.

The "I Got Love" music video recalls some of the projects of Girls' Generation, including "You Think" and "The Boys." The girl group's dance performance and dark color theme kick off the video.

The Girls' Generation lead vocalist's previous solo releases did well on multiple Billboard charts since her first solo EP in 2015. Her 2015's "I" landed No. 5 on Heatseekers Albums while her "Why" in 2016 was No. 15.
