Opposite him is the "Six Flying Dragons" actress who will play a neuropsychiatrist, So-A. When she was little, the heroine experienced serious difficulties because of her father's strong love for humanity.

Joining Nam and Shin in "Bride of the Water God" are Krystal and Gong. The former has been cast to play Hye Ra, a goddess who has lived among humans for hundred years. Now, she lives the life of a top Hallyu star.

The latter, on the other hand, plays the God of the Winds named Bi Ryum. He is an old acquaintance of Hye Ra and seems to have feelings for her, despite knowing that she is deeply in love with Ha Baek.

"Bride of the Water God" is loosely based on Yoon Mi-Kyung's webcomic "Habaekui Shinboo," but the time period is changed from a historical setting to the present day. It will be directed by producing-director (PD) Kim Byung Soo based on a script penned by Jung Yoon Jung, whose previous projects include the 2012 historical drama "Arang and the Magistrate."

"Currently, Jung Yoon Jung has written four episodes," CEO Kim Mi Na said in a press statement obtained by Soompi. "In order to maximize the quality of the drama, we will be pre-producing the drama."
