Recent leaks coming from Ukraine claim that Samsung's upcoming flagship device the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus will be costing more than $800. The new phones are said to come in three color variants.
Many sources have leaked the pricing for the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus. Both the devices are expected to be priced above $800. Previously, a leakster shared in his tweet that pricing for the Galaxy S8 will begin from $849. It was not clear if the cost was for the larger or the smaller variant.
The database of the Ukrainian retailer reportedly contains the leaked pricing of both the Galaxy S8 devices. The smartphones will cost at around $950 and $1050 respectively. In another leak coming from China, the pricing for the Galaxy S8 will begin at Yuan 6088 ($885). Since the information was leaked by a source from China, it is likely to be available only for local market, PhoneArena reported
The Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus are bearing model numbers SM-G950 and SM-G955 respectively. According to some leaks, devices are said to come in three color variants of Black, Gold and Orchid Gray. In another leak shared by a well known tipster Evan Blass the Galaxy S8 is rumored to come with a 5.8-inch display and the Galaxy S8 Plus is pegged to feature a 6.2-inch display.
Both the phone will be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset. The Galaxy S8 phones will be coming with companies own voice assistant feature called "Bixby". The Korea based-tech giant is expected to officially announce its new flagship devices on March 29.
Another report indicates that Sony will be manufacturing batteries for Samsung Galaxy S8 batteries. Besides Sony, the two other companies that are manufacturing batteries for S8 and S8 Plus are Samsung SDI and Japan's Murata, SamMobile reported.
