Athletic Bilbao has been struggling these days with four winless performances in their last six outings. The team was able to remain in the eighth spot of the league table, though, four points behind Villarreal and the final Europa League qualifying berth for the next season.

Los Leones is coming off a 0-2 loss to lowly squad Valencia CF on the road at the Mestalla Stadium last Sunday, as per Daily Mail Online.

Head coach Ernesto Valverde's squad was blanked by the Valencianistes in a match where Portuguese midfielder Nani and Italian forward Simone Zaza netted a goal each, in the 13th and 45th+1 minutes respectively.

It was the second defeat in the last three games for Bilbao, who are currently tied on points with Eibar but has a lower goal differential.

Meanwhile, Granada has won twice in their last three matches to add to their points total in the overall standings. The team remained in the bottom three relegation area, however, as they are now tied on points with 18th-place team Sporting Gijon and six points above cellar-dwellers CA Osasuna.

In their most recent La Liga match, El Grana crushed reeling squad Real Betis, 4-1, at their home ground of Los Cármenes Stadium last Friday, Yahoo Sports reported.

Moroccan midfielder Mehdi Carcela-Gonzalez scored the opening goal in the 18th minute while Colombian striker Adrian Ramos netted a brace in the 28th and 64th minutes. Brazilian winger Andreas Pereira, who scored one in the 33rd, was then sent off on the 66th together with Betis midfielder Matias Nahuel both for violent conduct.

Betis netted a consolation goal in the 75th minute courtesy of Brazilian midfielder Petros.
