To orient the fans on the events that took place thirty years from the "Return of Jedi", Marvel has recently released a set of comic books. These will help the fans catch up with the seventh installment of the upcoming film "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens."

The books, which have been released in coordination with Disney Publishing Worldwide and Lucasfilm, cover various age groups. Stickers and storybooks are intended for younger children while novels target teens and adults.

As per Inquisitr, the first entry before "The Force Awakens" is the "Shattered Empire." The cover released in Marvel's twitter account suggests that the storyline will begin at the time when the original trilogy ended. In addition, the novel "Star Wars: Aftermath" links the events indicated in "Shatter Empire."

The novel description says, "The second Death Star is destroyed. The Emperor and his powerful enforcer, Darth Vader, are rumored to be dead. The Galactic Empire is in chaos. Across the galaxy, some systems celebrate, while in others Imperial factions tighten their grip."

"Optimism and fear reign side by side. And while the Rebel Alliance engages the fractured forces of the Empire, a lone Rebel scout uncovers a secret Imperial meeting," the description continued.

The comic book prequel "Shattered Empire" launches this September.

An IMAX opening scene description has been released by Making Star Wars. It starts off with the introduction of Rey going through the innards of a large Star Destroyer that had an impact on the planet's surface.

Meanwhile, it is assumed that the trailer for the upcoming film may be released on May 1, which is the premiere date for Marvel's "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron."

The film stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Peter Meyhew, Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, and Max von Sydow. It is directed by J.J. Abrams, along with Kathleen Kennedy as producer and Lawrence Kasdan and George Lucas as co-writers.

The highly anticipated "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" is set to premiere in theaters and cinemas in the United States on Dec. 18.
