Fans of the "Star Wars" franchise are excited to see the film in its seventh installment - "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens".

Members of the cast include Kenny Baker as R2-D2, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Peter Meyhew as Chewbacca, Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Carrie Fisher as princess Leia Organa, and Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker.

Other members of the cast are John Boyega, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, and Max von Sydow.

The film plot follows three young people who will join characters from the previous installments. It is set 30 years from the events in "Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi".

It has been a long time since the sixth episode and a lot of things has happened to the characters. As per Entertainment Weekly, at least 20 new books will be released by Disney Publishing Worldwide and Lucasfilm this coming fall to connect the gap between "Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi" (1983) and the upcoming "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" (December 2015). The books will cover different age groups, ranging from sticker and storybooks for younger children to novels for teens and adults.

Disney Publishing Worldwide Executive Vice President Andrew Sugerman also shared his thoughts on the seventh installment of the "Star Wars" franchise.

"'The Force Awakens' is an extraordinarily, heavily guarded storyline. To track it, a lot of top-secret meetings were happening up in an Francisco as we worked through this program," he said.

Meanwhile, Big Shiny Robot reveals that "Lords of the Sith", one of the new "Star Wars" novel to be released on April 28, introduces a character named Moff Mors.

Mors is an Imperial official who demonstrates a capable leader, despite of committing some flaws. It is also revealed that she happens to be a lesbian. Her character type is the first in the "Star Wars" universe.

The film is set to be piloted by J.J. Abrams, together with Kathleen Kennedy as producer. Lawrence Kasdan and George Lucas are co-writers. Kasdan was also the co-writer on "Star Wars: The Emperor Strikes Back" and "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi". Meanwhile, filming began and took place in Abu Dhabi, Ireland, and United Kingdom. The film is to be distributed by Motion Pictures and Walt Disney Studios.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" is slated to premiere in theaters and cinemas in United States on December 18, 2015.
