Authorities in San Francisco have apprehended a suspect in connection with the stabbing death of Bob Lee, the tech mogul and founder of Cash App, as reported by local media.

Lee was discovered with fatal stab wounds in the affluent Rincon Hill area of the city at approximately 2:30 a.m. on April 4. Security footage revealed the chilling final moments of his life, as he stumbled down the sidewalk, seeking assistance from a passing motorist and pounding on a door for help.

Despite not finding aid in either location, Lee managed to dial 911 himself.

Krista Lee, the victim's former wife with whom he shared two children, informed Fox News on Thursday that she received a call from authorities notifying her of the arrest of Nima Momeni, a man she had never met before.

She expressed her elation with the apprehension and her intention to collaborate with authorities moving forward.

Mission Local, a local news outlet, reported that the suspect was detained early on Thursday. San Francisco jail records reveal that Momeni, aged 38, was booked around 9:20 a.m. PT on Thursday on a first-degree murder charge.

According to Krista Lee's interview with Oakland-based FOX 2, the arrest represents the "first step toward justice" for her ex-husband, with whom she remained close following their divorce.

Matt Dorsey, a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, expressed his gratitude to the city's police force via Twitter.

"Obviously, nothing can undo this senseless crime, and we reiterate our condolences to Mr. Lee's family members, friends and colleagues," he wrote. "But I hope today's arrest can begin a process of healing and closure for all those touched by this tragedy."

After discovering Lee in a critical condition, responding officers transported him to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The San Francisco police department has yet to provide a statement in response to inquiries for comment.
