PlayStation Vue is the latest TV service from Sony at an entry rate of $50 per month. Its competitor Sling TV has monthly rate starting at $20 per month. Both use the Internet to be able to stream numerous live TV channels as well as VOD, and both are not bounded by long-term contracts.

PlayStation Vue will be launching primarily in three states today namely Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia. To all broadband Internet subscribers in the mentioned areas who currently own a PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 game console, PlayStation Vue has brought another alternative to standard cable TV bundles, CNET reported.

Sony's offered service is very much the same with Sling TV, which was launched in February, but the both services are also very different in their own way.  One is the subscription rates. Sony's $50 per month entry rate is extremely expensive compared to Sling TV's $20. However, there are many ways you get what you pay for.

The Vue's latest service offers a massive amount of accessible shows and channels. It does not come with many of the downfalls of Sling TV, due to the fact that subscribers cannot pause or stream to more than one device at a time using the Sling, according to Tech Times.

To add more facts, the Vue's availability in three cities accounts for something.  Comparing these two services could be useless for those who live in cities where the Vue is not yet available. Hence, Sony is to bring it to other states in the near future.
