Shocking details are emerging from the investigation of the cause of Germanwing crash. Recent reports state that it appears that the Flight 9525's co-pilot Andreas Lubitz purposely crashed the plane, killing 150 people on board.

"We at Lufthansa are speechless that this aircraft has been deliberately crashed by the co-pilot," announced Carsten Spohr, CEO of Lufthansa. Lufthansa owns Germanwings, whose plane crashed into the French Alps, CNN reported.

After scanning the black box of the doomed plane and other studies, it came out that captain of the flight got somehow locked outside the cockpit and the plane was manned alone by the co-pilot during its final hours. Further investigations have shown that the autopilot was reprogrammed by someone during the flight to change the plane's normal altitude from 38,000 feet to a fatal 100 feet.

The plane's mangled voice recorder has been retrieved, which contains tell-all recordings from the ill fated plane. Pilot's knocks followed by loud bangings to open the cockpit door can be heard clearly in the recording.

The recording contains screaming of passengers and crew during the final few minutes of the flight before it crashed tragically, leaving no survivors behind. Apart from persistent banging and pleas by captain to open the cockpit door and the heart wrenching screams of passengers, there is an eerie silence in the cockpit as Lubitz offered no hints related to the cause of the flight's sudden descend, New York Daily News reported.

So far, investigators have no clue why Lubitz would have crashed the plane. Meanwhile, Lubitz's apartment was searched to look for some clues which could explain his weird behaviour. Several boxes and a computer has been seized from his home and investigations are still on.

"We have no indication what could have led the co-pilot to commit this terrible act," said Spohr in his official statement. The possible motive of the co-pilot cannot be ascertained yet.
