The quiz which was published online by the New Yorker magazine contains certain statements, Lena said. "He does not tip" and "does not bring his wallet anywhere" she was precisely comparing a dog with her Jewish boyfriend. She wrote this article as a satirical comedy, but it backfired and received lot of negative comments calling it insensitive, tasteless and offensive.

The article is not taken well by the community people. The media as it consists of statements which are said to have hurt feelings of the people relating to the past sentiments on "No Jews or Dogs Allowed".

Lena Dunham is said to be half-Jews and is also dating a Jewish singer Jack Antoff, due to which the article is making more headlines. She listed the humorous questions based on her dog, Lamby and her Jewish boyfriend, Jack. People are criticising the article over social media sites and questioning the team of New Yorker, how they gave a go-signal. The New Yorker editor, David defended Lena by releasing a statement that "the Jewish tradition itself is rich in doing mockery over stereotypes and does not care if somebody finds it funny or not".

Lena has shared her article on Instagram calling to be "A love letter to @jackantoff & Lamby" (dog). Although being an active twitter user, she did not publish the article over there. She has neither officially given any statement nor did she respond back on the social media. She is used to such stir and controversies due to her open and outrageous comments.
